Dora Bramden fell in love with the escape and romance of Mills and Boon Presents books when her children were babies. She could often be found with a book in her hand as she rocked a cradle or stirred a stew. Later she read during her lunch breaks when working as a bookkeeper. Her children are now grown up and she spends her time writing the stories she loves and dreaming of her next overseas trip. World travels have provided inspiration for Dora's books which are set in exotic locations.
Although love hasn't always run smoothly for Dora, this has helped her develop emotional depth in her writing. She found the courage to make changes in her own life in order to value herself and find happiness. It's no wonder her heroes and heroines have these qualities too. She's now in love with her very own Italian hero and lives happily in Melbourne, Australia.
Dora is coordinator of the Melbourne Romance Writers' guild and is a member of Writers Victoria, Romance Writers of Australia and Romance Writers of America.
In 2013 Dora won best unpublished manuscript in the short category section of the Romance Writers' of Australia's Emerald Competition.
Lunch in Italy. This alfresco restaurant was tucked away in a gorgeous cobblestone alley.
